MDT Software releases the new release of AutoSave, the change management solution dedicated to industrial environments. AutoSave 7.0 integrates a portal that helps users make informed decisions by allowing them to view all plant activity through a simple web interface.

Milan, 02/07/2019 – MDT Software, a leading US company in specific change management solutions for industrial environments, and its Italian partner ServiTecno announce the availability of the latest version of AutoSave, a solution specifically dedicated to change management and version control of the source code of running programs on industrial devices. AutoSave allows users to keep documented traces of changes to industrial device software and plant documents, as well as uncover tampering through version comparison.

AutoSave can track firmware, software and CPU version data of automation devices from Siemens, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi Electric, Rockwell Automation and many others.

With version 7.0 AutoSave takes a significant evolutionary step, thanks above all to the integration of the new AutoSave Portal.

Portal that helps you make informed decisions AutoSave Portal is a dashboard designed to help users make informed decisions.

In fact, it allows the operator to view all the activities taking place in the plant, to read the status of the individual programs and to have an overview of the operations in progress.

All information is made available in a single web interface that can run on workstations, laptops and mobile devices. The portal is safe and easy to use and allows users to take advantage of the following features:

  • Real-time monitoring of revision activity, command groups, agents, critical program data (version, firmware version, processor type, last modified, last checked, etc.).
  • Integration of reporting and data management
  • Customizable dashboard
  • On-demand reports

“By bringing together all the data generated by AutoSave's change management activity within a single web tool, manufacturing facilities and utilities can easily identify issues that could affect plant performance and safety,” explains Gary Gillespie, Vice President, MDT Software.

Other new features In addition to the portal, MDT AutoSave version 7.0 also includes further improvements and the following features:

  • A new Command Group Editor
  • Scheduling comparison tasks to have more control over the automatic update process and maximum processing time
  • Secure access to web server
  • Multiple language support including German, French, Spanish and other single-byte languages
