Idus Connection Suite (ICS) allows you to connect your Idus IS ( Enterprise Asset Management ) to the iFIX SCADA.
Developed by Novotek AB, ICS allows GE iFIX users to directly access the Idus IS functions, starting right from the graphical screens of the supervision and monitoring application.
The main features:
- Point & click management of objects from iFIX pages
- Link from iFIX WorkSpace to Idus IS cards via Wizard
- Object information directly in iFIX, for timely maintenance
- Maintenance and Plant Asset Management functions directly in iFIX
- Common interface between iFIX and Idus for optimized maintenance, reduction of downtime and production costs
- Direct access to the idus functions, starting from the graphical screens of the supervision and monitoring application (from the iFIX Workspace)
- Activate all maintenance actions by simply pointing and selecting the object with a click in the iFIX screen
- Plan a preventive or predictive maintenance intervention based on a value that can be read from an instrument, a sensor or an event that occurs on the system
- Compare the actual number of hours worked or pieces with the limit recommended by the manufacturer for carrying out the maintenance operation
- Use the same graphic pages for both the plant operator and the maintenance manager
With Idus Connection Suite the values can be sent in real time from iFIX or from OPC Server to Idus IS, with the automatic creation of work orders, optimizing plant downtime for maintenance, with consequent reduction of production costs.
