ISAS (www.isa.org) was perhaps the first Association to deal with the ICS Security issue, since 1999, with the ISA99 committee (www.isa.org/isa99) which led to the drafting of the ISA/IEC62443 standards (http://isa99.isa.org/ISA99%20Wiki/Home.aspx)

A new ISA white paper (www.isa.org) describes what executives should know about industrial cybersecurity.

Despite the growing risks of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, not enough is being done in the United States and around the world to align on basic industrial cybersecurity countermeasures.
One reason is that many business executives across all industries are not fully aware of the real risks and dangers associated with cyber incidents and attacks brought to industrial plants as well as the critical differences between IT (Information Technology) cyber security and OT cyber security. (Operation Technology).
To improve understanding of typical industrial cybersecurity issues and improve awareness among high-level business decision makers, ISA has published a new White Paper, “What Executives Need to Know About Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity”.
The white paper was written by Joseph Weiss, PM, CISM, CRISC, a leading expert on control system cybersecurity, who was also heard by the US Congress on the growing threat of cyberattacks on industries and infrastructure criticism of the country.
