Security Summit Vertical – Manufacturing 2023 15pm – 00pm

The Digital Transformation in Industry/Transition (4.0 and then 5.0) has put on the table important issues relating to the management of Safety and Security for manufacturing and process companies: 2024 will represent a turning point for these issues, considering the entry into force of new European Standards and Directives (Revision of the Machinery Directive, NIS2, new NIST CyberSecurity Framework, GAMP5-2nd Edition).

Cyber incidents resulting from malware and ransomware have allowed for a rapid evolution of digital threats, broadening the risk landscape, from data theft sensitive and intellectual property to blocking operational continuity, to the compromise of the production chain. IIoT (Industrial IoT) systems, factory plants and machinery and their related "control systems" (such as PLC, DNC/CNC, machining centers, CAD/CAM/CAE, PLM, SCADA, DCS, etc.), historically segregated in protected areas, following the convergence between IT and OT environments are increasingly exposed to the threats and risks of cyber attacks. In this edition of the Manufacturing Security Summit, experts from the various sectors of Industries and Utilities will address these issues, illustrating experiences and possible approaches and countermeasures to be adopted.
