The "iFix Certification" days will take place on Wednesday 10 May in Milan and Tuesday 16 in Rome: an appointment that is repeated cyclically and a community that continues to grow over the years.
Sold out for the Milan date, appointment at the General Electric headquarters in via Melchiorre Gioia: a completely new location, on the top floors of a fabulous building located right in front of the New Palazzo della Regione.
Why is there certification? There are 2 answers, and both are important.
- TO WORK ON PROJECTS WITH STRINGING SPECIFICATIONS. Increasingly often in project specifications (especially in regulated environments such as Pharma, Lifescience, F&B, etc…) a degree of knowledge of the product that can be certified is expressly required: this is not a quirk of the engineering company that manages the order or of the end customer, but it is simply a protection. Knowing the product in depth, knowing where you can get to and how, is also important in the offer phase: in fact, only precise knowledge can allow estimates on development times that are adequate and respectable.
- A SCADA IS NOT JUST A SCADA ANYMORE. Perhaps a few years ago the certification days were seen as a way of networking between technicians: however, the technological evolutions of the last decade have greatly accelerated the IT and digital transformation process of production processes. Just think of the fact that 10 years ago virtualization (at least in the OT environment) was for "early adopters", while today almost all applications are designed in a virtual environment at least partially. Furthermore, if previously we stopped at mere supervision, now we cannot dispense with data collection, data analysis, alarm remote control on a mobile device...and we have not yet mentioned the architectures, increasingly centered on the WEB, at least for regarding clients.
In short, SCADA is no longer just an end in itself, but turns out to be a real gateway between the plant and IT: look at the diary, you will discover that inside iFix there are many tools that you didn't even know you had available .
