READ THE POSTER OF THE EVENT: Domenico Razzè Award – Poster of the event

The intent of the award is to stimulate universities to address issues useful for the protection of critical infrastructures and, at the same time, to raise awareness of works, including those susceptible to industrial impact or having scientific relevance or, in any case, innovative in the results obtained.

National critical infrastructures, also thanks to the greater efficiency induced by digital technologies and, therefore, to their greater interoperability which could determine the so-called "domino effect", with the paralysis of many public services which would affect the quality of life of citizens, have attracted particular attention at Italian and European level in recent years, especially following harmful events (terrorists, disasters, failures or accidents): even a European directive, already implemented at national level, has defined their characteristics.

The Prize, to which no less than 32 works from all over the country compete, is divided into three categories:

  1. a prize of € 1.000  each to the two best master's degree thesis;
  2. a prize of € 1.000  at the best doctoral thesis;
  3. a prize of € 500 to the best work of master.

The event will be preceded by a Roundtable on "Security in Complex Organizations", which will illustrate the problems, difficulties and solutions that need to be undertaken to ensure the protection of a complex business organization or a complex event.

Important representatives of the corporate world will participate: Vanes Montanari (Head of Corporate Protection of Poste Italiane), Stefano Zireddu (Security Director of Alitalia), Luigi Salimbeni (Telecommunications Directorate of the Vatican City Governorate); chairman of the round table will be the President of AIIC, Luisa Franchina.

The Manifestation will take place on 28 April 2016 in the Conference Room of the Roma Tre University, Department of Engineering, via Vito Volterra 62, at 14.00 pm.
