SAVE WEB EDITION FOR 4.0: plant automation and enabling technologies for industry innovation

 

Il 14th April SAVE Web Edition for 4.0 is back in its fifth edition and ServiTecno could not miss this fundamental event in the panorama of Italian automation.

What did ServiTecno talk about?

Our Mario Testino spoke in the plenary session about the importance of having a platform capable of managing Industrial Analytics and the advantages that the implementation of a "machine learning" system can bring.

In the afternoon Workshop we went into more detail, showing some practical examples of the use of these technologies.

Efficiency and quality can indeed benefit greatly from an advanced analysis: learning about the past, identifying peaks (positive and negative) within the production process and implementing automatic feedback when certain events occur are just some of the features of CSense, the platform machine learning technology from GE Digital.

APPOINTMENT WITH SERVITECNO AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Wednesday April 14 do not miss the appointment with our intervention "Industrial analytics and machine learning drive Digital Transformation: GE Digital's vision for the interconnected factory“, Speakers Mario Testino e Francesco Tieghi.

For some years there has been a lot of talk about “Digital Tweens” or Gemello Digitale but the complexity of the tools and the need for very specific skills are limiting the use of this technology only in areas with a high investment budget.

But thanks to the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning (Machine Learning) the modeling systems, have been greatly simplified by considerably extending the possible fields of application.

Thanks to these innovative tools it is possible to aggregate data from various industrial data sources and quickly identify problems (troubleshooting), discover the root causes (root cause analysis), predict future performance, and automate actions to continuously improve quality, usage, and productivity.

We can basically define six basic functionalities that these systems can provide, allowing production personnel to analyse, monitor, predict and simulate (through modelling), optimize and control process variables in real time.
Furthermore, another relevant requirement is the possibility of extracting information from historical process data present in the various real-time repositories already installed on the plant (historian, process databases, etc.) and quickly develop, test and deploy simple calculations, predictive analytics, and optimization and control solutions to reduce variability and improve operations.
