The health chain is a strategic sector for the Italian economy, capable of generating added value and employment, but also of guaranteeing the health and well-being of the population. It is a complex system that involves various activities, from the development and production of drugs and medical devices, to scientific and clinical research, to the distribution and marketing of health products and services. It is also a highly innovative and competitive sector, in which the ability to invest in research and development, thanks to a solid scientific and technological foundation, plays a fundamental role. However, the challenges and opportunities that the health supply chain must face in the near future are important, starting with the growing demand for health products and services, linked above all to the aging of the population, with all that this entails. Furthermore, the evolution of digital technologies and molecular biology allows the development of new products and personalized therapies, but also requires greater interaction between the different scientific disciplines and a strong capacity for innovation.
This is the context in which this edition of the AFI Symposium takes place.

With free registration you can access the exhibition area, take part in the Workshops on Wednesday morning, in the Piazza delle Start up, in the Piazza delle Donne del Pharma and in the Youth Session on Thursday 8 June.
Access to the Scientific Sessions is subject to a fee and implies registration for the Symposium (Public Bodies/Universities Fee).
The registration fee includes:
- Access to the Scientific Sessions and the exhibition area
- Conference proceedings and documentation
- Three business lunches (not included in the rates for Public Bodies)
- Four coffee breaks
- Beach party June 7 (not included in the daily fee and for public bodies)
