The introduction by Stefano Panzieri
The webinar started with a speech by Stefano Panzieri, professor at the University of Roma Tre, who spoke to us about the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on the industrial software and automation market: effects that are having great repercussions in the cyber security field given the ever more pressing need to connect remotely.
The creation of remote connections, the insertion of IoT technologies and sensors and a reduction of the physical perimeter of the infrastructure it is creating space for cyber attacks and incidents: a situation that will certainly need to be "fixed" as the customs clearance of smart working suggests that this will become the new normal.

The intervention of Enzo Maria Tieghi
The second intervention was that of Enzo M. Tieghi, member of the CLUSIT scientific committee and Managing Director of ServiTecno, to tell us about paradigm shifts on Operations and Remote Monitoring caused by COVID -19 and implications related to Cyber Security.
The starting point was the numerous (and in some cases worrying) data from CLUISIT, ENISA and ARC, three avant-garde associations if we talk about Industrial Cyber Security:
- What are the new types of attack/incident?
- What are the strategies that companies are implementing to defend themselves?
- are there specific vulnerabilities related to certain industrial sectors?
The answers to these and other questions in the speech by Enzo Maria Tieghi.
Mario Testino's conclusions
The last intervention was to Mario Testino who focused more on the possible solutions to make machines and plants safe: different solutions according to the needs of those who manage the plant.
Assuming that it is no longer possible to isolate a factory or a production line, all that remains is to understand what are the objectives to be pursued and put down a plan that is efficient and safe.

- do you need to connect your machines to the cloud?
- how do you maintain supervision on the plant floor and at the same time create a bridge to the CLOUD?
