GE Digital, a leading and innovative solution provider in the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) market, announced that it has been Positioned by Gartner as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for its software solution Proficy Smart Factory. The assessment was based on specific criteria that analyzed the company's overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.
The Magic Quadrant reports are the result of rigorous and technology-based research applied to specific verticals. It basically provides the positioning of the different market leaders (and of course the solutions they provide) which are then "inserted" into four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players.
GE Digital also ranked in the top two of 19 recognized vendors in the Critical Capabilities for Manufacturing Execution Systems report across the four use cases measured by Gartner: 4,06 out of 5,00 in continuous production of process, 3,98 out of 5,00 in the discrete production complex, 4,00 out of 5,00 in the batch production/repetitive stream and 4,08 out of 5,00 in the highly regulated industries.
